Building Dedication Recap

Words cannot begin to describe what a joyous time the Radiant family & those visiting shared at the dedication service for the new building on Sunday, August 15th. An overflow crowd was blessed by an awesome worship time and music of the choir, orchestra, Karl Hinkle & Kathy Cernero.

We were privileged to have several guest speakers joining us for this special event:
  • Jerry Rosenberger - Westfield Town Manager,
  • Harold Sattison – Brandt Construction, Radiant member
  • David Swaim – MAS Architects
  • Rev. Dan Pongratz – Indiana District Assemblies of God.
  • John Boyle – Project Manager
  • Darrell Boothroyd – Construction Superintendent, directly involved with this project for Brandt Construction
Pastor Gary Sobol had the opportunity to present Pastor John Cernero with the surprise of the day, a new baby grand piano for the church, made possible by anonymous donors. A special slideshow highlighting the construction process from groundbreaking to “crossing over” served as a great reminder of God’s faithfulness and blessings upon the Radiant congregation.

Pastor John shared a wonderful dedicatory message and a special responsive reading for the congregation. The end of the service was closed with a prayer of dedication for the church and leadership led by Rev. Tom Paino, Jr.
After the dedication service, an Open House for the community brought in many who were interested in checking out the new facilities. During the Open House, Karl Hinkle provided special music and everyone enjoyed a great time of food and fellowship under the large white tent that had been set up.

There is a special excitement in the air at Radiant Christian Life. A new place of worship is a dream come true for the staff and congregation of Radiant. We have dedicated this new facility for the purpose of serving Westfield and the surrounding communities in such a way that lives may be touched by the radiant love of Christ. We look forward with great anticipation to the “new thing that will spring forth” in the months ahead.
