Gatherings
Student Ministries Gatherings
Sunday Nights carry our 8th-12th grade weekly gatherings. Students can begin showing up by 5:30pm with activities kicking off shortly after. These gatherings are a corporate setting of music, games, teaching, and small groups. Students will be challenged with the message of kingdom of God and what it means for their lives in practical ways. Each week is a chance to fellowship with friends and mentors and learn about new ways they can impact their community. Everybody clears out by about 8:30pm. Students, get your homework finished and don't miss out on this great evening!Catalyst
Catalyst is a gathering for our 5th-7th grade students. The gathering takes place just after the break in our 11 O'clock service upstairs. This time is an opportunity for students to learn about the core truths and teachings of the scripture and have some fun engaging with friends. If you have questions about meetings you can email our Youth Pastor: click here.
Parents
Parents
In our ministry goals this year we are seeking to connect and communicate with our parents better this year. If you would like to be included in a weekly to bi-weekly email about upcoming events and teachings click here. Please take advantage of the information posted on this website as we will tell you of any changes in our regularly scheduled events. We'll also tell you about upcoming events and resources that caught our eyes. We believe that the most influential voice in a students life is YOU, so we hope to come alongside you in any way we can.
Keep up with all events in our upcoming events and gatherings in their corresponding windows on the Student Ministries Page. If your student hasn't turned in a medical release form for any events, to download it click here. Please get that in so that we have it on file for each event. Thanks.
If you'd like to get to know Pastor Jonathan or have any questions you can email him by clicking here.

From time to time we will be posting articles and websites for parents and teens to get you talking about issues in our world, spiritual growth, and any other topics out there. Tune week to week and you might find something that catches your eye! Click on the titles to see the prospective resource.
PARENTS ARE THE BEST TEACHERS: Parents, if you didn't know this already, your children follow your lead. If you didn't know that, "SURPRISE!" Seriously your children get their positive and negative cues on life from you, and this is especially true, and also extremely convicting even for me, when it comes to their knowledge of the kingdom of God.
COLLEGE BOUND! Seniors and Parents of Seniors, you may find this August 3rd blog from Faith On Campus interesting. In it, the blogger gives a review of a book entitled The First Year Out by author Tim Clydesdale. The book looks to understand the world-views and lifestyles of students after their first year in high school. The blogger points out some very important ideas which are rumbling through the American Church right now; such as, the need for good mentorship and the necessity of being "attentive to youth culture" in order to "truly understand and empathetically embrace students." Also, interesting is the apparent lack of difference, as it pertains to goals and ambitions, between students of the Christian faith and everyone else in their shoes.
YOUTH CULTURE WEBSITE: If you want to catch a glimpse of what is going on in youth culture from a million different angles and media venues (an mild exaggeration), the check out www.cpyu.org. The creator of the site, Walt Mueller, is a guru of youth culture and ministry. He's written a couple of books on the topic, and seems to have a great understanding about anchoring, serving, and communicating with teens.
MEDIA EDUCATION: Common Sense Media is a neat website that seeks to help parents and students interpret media and understand the millions of messages being thrown at them. On the website, you can find reviews for movies, books, music, and television.
